A Short Tale of the Antichrist
by Vladimir Soloviev

A perfect man has solved every human problem from world peace to the need for marvels. One last task remains: religious unification. Using this early-20th-century short story which strikingly resembles our own times, Dr. Mortensen will lead students in an examination of what makes an Antichrist, challenging readers to ponder whether a world without Christ, even a peaceful & prosperous one, would really be Hell.

Parker’s Back

Susan Waldstein

Participation is limited to 20 students. Registration is required by December 7th.

Parker’s Back
by Flannery O’Connor

What relation does a swaggering, uncouth drunk have to Moses & St. Paul? What does it mean to be a follower of Christ? Would we recognize Christ Incarnate if we saw Him? What attracts us to Truth even when it hurts? Dr. Waldstein will lead a class on Flannery O’Connor’s biting, poignant, hilarious short story “Parker’s Back.”
