The Medieval Vision

Jason Baxter

Join Dr. Jason Baxter for an intensive, three-week immersion into the world of Dante. This unique course will not only read through the entirety of the Divine Comedy but will use an interdisciplinary, multimedia approach to explore the world of late medieval Florence. Students underscore Dante’s encyclopedic poem with exploration of medieval art, music, and mysticism, sacred hymns, Franciscan spirituality, scholasticism, and lectio divina.
